Dave McMahon - Executive Director

Dave McMahon was born in Liverpool, UK, in 1961. He joined INSYEN AG in 2009 as the Executive Director of the company. Dave studied Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Loughborough, graduating in 1983 as part of an engineering apprenticeship with British Aerospace. Dave's expertise and technical leadership of a team of ground segment engineers was instrumental in the successful development of the Columbus Control Centre. As system architect of the Columbus Control Centre and its ground communications infrastructure with interfaces to 16 other operations centres, he was responsible for the system design, system engineering and assembly, integration and verification process. As a result of his dedication and technical proficiency, Dave was 1 of 15 people which were presented a Space Flight Awareness STS-122 Honouree Award by the European Space Agency in December 2007. Dave has now taken on the role of Operations Constellation Manager at the Galileo Control Centre in Oberpfaffenhofen.

Austin Gosling - Director

Austin Gosling was born in El Paso, Texas, USA, in 1959. He founded INSYEN AG in 2008 and is a Director of the company. Austin studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1983. Austin gained extensive experience in manned space flight over a period of 25 years, at NASA JSC (Shuttle), DLR Cologne (Spacelab), ESOC Darmstadt (In Orbit Infrastructure), Matra-Marconi Space in Toulouse, France (Hermes) and 10 years at the German Space Operations Center in Oberpfaffenhofen where he directly supported Columbus Control Center activities and was an important contributor to the definition of the system architecture, requirements, implementation, verification and operations.

Mattia Moscardino - Director

Mattia Moscardino was born in Düsseldorf, Germany in 1976. He has been Chief Operating Officer at INSYEN since the position was introduced in January 2014. As COO, he is responsible for the company's day-to-day operations, as well as its strategic development. Mattia obtained a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and an MBA from the Technische Universität in Munich, Germany. His technical experience includes more than 10 years of space operations preparation and support, as well as consultancy positions for the German Aerospace Centre (DLR), Swedish Space Corporation (SSC), EUTELSAT and INPE. On the managerial side, his previous duties have covered contract, division and business development management.

Miguel Ángel Molina Cobos - Management Board

Miguel Ángel Molina Cobos graduated as a Msc Aeronautical Engineer at the Polythecnic University of Madrid joining GMV in 1988. He has undergone through the various company categories from project engineer to project manager till 1996 with two expatriation periods in Cannes (1989-1992) and Toulouse (1993-1996). In 1998 is nominated as General Manager of the “Unidad de Sistemas Logísticos (USL)” located in Valladolid and targeting the development of applications based on GNSS systems, particularly fleet management systems. Three years later, in 2001, and after the consolidation of this unit, is back to Madrid as Head of Mission Analysis, Space Engineering and Flight Dynamics activities. Later in 2007 he takes the responsibility of the Control Centres Business Unit, integrating the operational developments for Satellite Control and Flight Dynamics Systems. After the consolidation and high expansion of this unit, in 2012 is nominated Business Development Manager in Space, as well as deputy of the General Manager. In 2016 he is nominated as team member of the GMV INSYEN management board.

Javier Martínez Cendejas - Management Board

Javier Martínez Cendejas graduated (BA hons) in International Business Administration from Lincoln University and also holds an MA in Economic-Financial Management from IDE-CESEM business school. He has been associated with GMV almost from the word go. In 1993 he was appointed Corporate Financial Controller, taking over the post of CFO in 2002. His responsibilities involve mainly financial and legal affairs.
